Covid-19 Response

The F.E.T.C.H. Program's Covid-19 Response

With the global pandemic resulting from Covid-19 and its challenges, the economic down-turn, racial inequalities, the slow grind of the effects of systemic racism, and the ongoing murders of Black people at the hands of the police and social upheavals, 2020 has been a year of societal upheaval so massive it's like someone ripped a hole in the universe. A tipping point has been reached.

This clearly signals that It's time for a redesign. So today (07-07-2020), The F.E.T.C.H. Program takes the following steps to address the resulting community needs:

The F.E.T.C.H. Program is offering all of its classes and training sessions online.

Free Technology - A Laptop Computer For Those Who Need But Can't Afford One
In order to adhere to strict Social Distancing Rules and Shut-Down Orders still presently operating in Miami Dade County and other local municipalities, as well as in other city/states across the country, The F.E.T.C.H. Program is offering all of its classes and training sessions online. Participants are encouraged to register early as seating will be limited to 90 students per session, unless and until we are able to increase the level of services offered; made possible by the generous support of our donors and program supporters.

Our students are able to participate in pre-recorded classes as well as live online classes from the comfort of their homes and on their own schedule. The key here is that The F.E.T.C.H. Program will provides a Laptop Computer at no cost to qualifying families who need basic technology in order to be able to participate in our program and learn a meaningful skill.

With A Free Laptop Everyone Will Be Able To Participate – The F.E.T.C.H. Program provides new laptop computers for program participants who are not able to afford one on their own. This computer will be theirs to keep at the completion of the program, thus making it available for use by thsoe same participants should they decide to register for other courses in the future.

In this way we help bridge the digital-divide in under-served and low-income communities.

New problems require new solutions. The world is literally changing right before our very eyes.  The F.E.T.C.H. Program seeks to tackle these problems with innovative solutions in order to make a difference in the lives of low income families living within inner-city, under-served communities.

We are looking for community partners and donors who will enable us to implement the above-mentioned Covid-19 Response Effort which addresses existing community needs by presenting a solution for residents who might be shut-in, laid-off, unemployed and seeking opportunities to earn meaningful, well-paying, Information Technology Certification and job-placement assistance.

We are seeking to help 90 residents get certified by the end of 2020. We need your help. Donate To The FETCH Dem Fund 2020
